Strawberry Guava Jam - Instant Pot

 Strawberry Guava Jam 

This is a very quick, easy and delicious Strawberry Guava jam made in Instant pot. It is sweet, tangy and perfect blend of strawberries and tropical guava flavors.



 





Ingredients

2 Pounds (910 grams) Organic Strawberries
14 oz(400 grams) Guava Paste*
2/3 cup (130 grams) Organic sugar, adjust sugar to taste.

Note: I have used readymade guava paste as fresh guavas are not available locally.

Electric Pressure Cooker/Instant Pot Instructions:

1. Wash and cut the starawberries into quarters.




2. To the inner pot of Instant pot, add the strawberries, sugar and mix. Let the strawberries macerate for 10 minutes.

3. Close the lid and set on high pressure for 1 minute.



4. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes and manually release excess pressure.




5. Add the guava paste. Mash with a potatto masher to blend the guava paste with strawberries. Cook on saute mode for 5-10 min to adjust the jam consitency.
6. Cancel the saute mode, and let the jam cool completely.



7. Store in an airthight jar in refrigerator.

Stovetop Method:

1. Take a heavy bottom sauce pan.
2. Add the strawberries, sugar. Let the strawberries macerate for 10 minutes. Cook on medium heat until the strawberries are soft and mushy for about 10-15 minutes. Add the guava paste.Mash with a potatto masher to blend the guava paste with strawberries.

3. Cook on low-medium heat, stirring occasionally until it gets a thick jam like consistency.

4. Let the jam cool completely before storing in an airthight jar in refrigerator.
